Tonight we looked at the music of Folklore Tapes, Richard A. Ingram and Dean Blunt in microfocused depth. Outside of that we surveyed the modern beats and hip-hop scenes via two half hour sonic music essays from Kate Reddington. Something old, something new, something sampled, something (influenced by the) blue(s).

This week we rewound things to the glory days of No Limit Records and Cash Money Records and reflected. After that we explored the hyperlinked contemporary lo-fi (and lo-fi dance) global underground, reminded ourselves that Kiwi’s make great country music and visited Africa. This didn’t all happen in exactly that chronological order though. And that is okay, because life doesn’t always need to be linear.
